What do we collect? Speed Stacks collects and stores
the name of the domain and host from which you access the Internet
(for example, aol.com or princeton.edu); the Internet protocol
(IP) address of the computer you are using; the browser software
you use and your operating system; the date and time you access
our site; and the Internet address of the website from which
you linked directly to our site.
We
use this information to measure the number of visitors to the
different sections of our site, and to help us make our site
more useful. Generally, we delete this information after one
year.
Information
You Actively Submit to Speed Stacks. In the following
instances, however, we do need you to actively submit Personal
Customer Information: when you want to (i) complete an order,
(ii) submit customer commentaries.
If
you choose to identify yourself by sending us an email or
when using our secure online forms (e.g. contact, information
request forms). If you use one of our online forms, the information
you provide is up to you. We use secure socket layer (SSL)
encryption to protect the transmission of information you
submit to us when you use our secure online forms. All the
information you provide us through these forms is stored
securely offline. If you don't provide your name or other
information, it may be impossible for us to refer, respond
to, or investigate your request. We do not sell, rent or
otherwise give your email address to any other company.
Customer
Commentaries. When you submit a customer commentary,
we ask you to disclose your email address in addition to
your comments and other optional information. We only use
the information you provide to us to chronicle your comments
(first name, date submitted, age); we do not use email addresses
or telephone numbers for marketing purposes.
If
you contact us to order products, we will use your information
only to fulfill your order or to contact you about your order.
We ask for your email address. The e-mail address you provide
here will be the only e-mail address to which we can send
information about your orders.
Communications
from Speed Stacks. As a customer, you may receive
the following communications from Speed Stacks: Emails
related to transaction maintenance activities. These emails
include order confirmations, order updates and order problem
notifications.
If
you send us an email, you should know that email is not
necessarily secure against interception. So, if your communication
includes sensitive information like your bank account, charge
card, or social security number, and you prefer not to use
one of our secure online contact forms, contact us by postal
mail or telephone rather than email.
